Heat treatment for high resilience
Using heat treatment, the material structure is changed in a targeted manner. This makes it possible to achieve the mechanical properties required for different applications. Correctly adhering to the temperature curve over time is crucial. This determines whether the parts are hardened, annealed or tempered. If only the areas of a workpiece close to the surface are to be hardened, heat treatment is carried out in conjunction with chemical substances such as nitrogen.
For some workpieces – such as shafts, valve cones or valve spindles – only certain areas of the surface are hardened. This applies to sealing surfaces and bearing seats, for example. We pre-turn these workpieces, have them heat treated and then finish them by grinding.
Correct heat treatment requires expert knowledge of the transformation process and a high level of experience. We have this work carried out by companies that have proven themselves to be reliable on the market and with whom we have a long-standing partnership. This guarantees that our products are always consistently high quality.
